You're going on vacation, you cant quite decide where to leave your animal... you check out kennels and doggy day cares; and you find what you believe to be the perfect place. When you come back your dog seems to be different, he starts to vomit and have diarrhea. So you have two choices see if it goes away or take him to the vet. Either way it wont matter because in just a few days your dog will be dead from a virus thats hitting our animal population.

Vets have known about it for years but its mainly only hit pig farms. In just a week alone a pig farm can be wiped out. Other animals susceptible to this deadly virus are pet birds such as; parrots, cockatoos and parakeets. The fact that it is now hitting dogs is huge.

This virus is known as circo-virus, there is no clear cut way in diagnosing the animals. They die within days so you cant send off blood work to proof it. What is known is that dogs who are boarded up and put in "play situations" are at a greater risk of getting the virus.
